2012 Surface Warfare Enterprise (SWE) Science and Technology (S&T) Industry Day

The Surface Warfare Enterprise (SWE) will host the Third Annual Science and Technology (S&T) Industry Day at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division in Bethesda, MD, on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The SWE S&T Industry Day is an opportunity for the Navy and Industry to discuss the S&T needs that are intended to support and extend the capability of Surface Warfare. The agenda includes keynote remarks from:

    • Rear Adm. Jim Shannon, the SWE Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
    • Ms. Mary Lacey, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (DASN RDT&E)
    • Rear Admiral Thomas Rowden, Director, Surface Warfare (N96)
    • Rear Admiral Frank Morneau, Deputy Director, Expeditionary Maneuver Warfare 

The event will also include a panel of S&T experts who will outline specific technical areas for industry to collaborate with the Navy as well as an extended poster session that defines S&T objectives in support of the SWE.  Additionally, Navy subject matter experts will be available to discuss SWE related technology areas.

The SWE S&T Industry Day is open to U.S. citizens of large and small businesses, DoD organizations, and current or potential DoD contractors.

Seating for this event is limited. As such, we request that each attending organization limit the number of technical experts attending.  Please show up early to get through the security requirements.
